O-Week 2024

Welcome to AUJS 2024!

Since 1948, AUJS has been the voice of Jewish students on campuses across Australia and New Zealand. Our vibrant community spans over 20 university campuses, offering you a welcoming space to connect socially with fellow Jewish students.

Whether you’re eager to join as a member or take on a leadership role, AUJS provides the platform for you to engage and make a difference on campus.

Discover the diverse opportunities AUJS has in store for you, including an array of engaging social, cultural, and political events both on and off-campus. Participate in our programs to gain valuable professional skills that will stay with you for a lifetime.

Social Events

Join us for a variety of engaging events, including the much-anticipated Purim celebrations and the AUJS Ball, marking our grandest night of the year in Sydney and Melbourne.

Enjoy game nights, campus lunches, mixers, Shakshuka in the Sukkah, and so much more. These gatherings provide the perfect opportunity to connect with fantastic individuals from your campus, state, and across the country. Come, be a part of our vibrant community, and make lasting connections at AUJS events!

Conferences and Advocacy

By becoming an AUJS member, you gain access to our esteemed leadership programs, including our signature initiative, PTS (Political Training Seminar).

During the three-day PTS in Canberra, participants develop advocacy skills and engage in discussions on contemporary issues with senior members of parliament from various political parties, journalists, and political activists.

Furthermore, regional political seminars will be conducted at a later date, empowering students to interact with local members of parliament.

Leadership Programs

Our Leadership Training Summit (LTS) brings together AUJS leaders from across Australasia for a 3-day immersive leadership development experience.

LTS provides leaders with the fundamental skills and knowledge that they need to run successful events, operate effectively as a team and combat challenges on campus.

It also provides leaders with a great opportunity to meet people from overseas and interstate.

International Programs

AUJS selects its top leaders for the Leadership Development Program (LDP), a distinctive opportunity to explore diverse communities, delving into the contemporary challenges facing the Jewish world. Past destinations have included Israel, the USA, Canada, and more.

These experiences go beyond borders, offering unique insights and skills to tackle global challenges.

Join AUJS and become a part of a leadership journey that contributes to shaping the future of our community.

Other international programs include AUJS Israel Mission (AIM) and Birthright.
